End of Year Production

At the end of each year “Legs” students perform in a production which showcases the talents of all the students and is well known for its variety and entertainment value. Our most common feedback (and supreme compliment!) that we get after the show is how surprised dad and other family members were at just how enjoyable the production was.

The concert is optional and usually takes place toward the end of the year. Students who participate are required to attend extra rehearsals prior to the concert. Parents are responsible for the payment of costumes, whether hired or bought and some costumes may require a small amount of sewing (strap adjustment, sequinning etc.) by the parent. The end of year production is a major project and parents will be called on to assist.

Don’t worry! We walk you through every stage and requirement needed from both our students and parents. We do recommend that you request to join our Students and Parents Only Facebook Group which provides a lot of important updates and news throughout the year.

Our end of year production is a major highlight of the dancing year for students, parents and family members alike.

30th Birthday Celebration Shows

In 2019 we celebrated 30 years of ‘Legs’ and our end of year production reflected our pride in being ‘Thirty Years Strong’. We took on our own telling of a classic in ‘Peter Pan & Our Lost Treasures’. We worked every style of dance into the story of Peter Pan and then celebrated some of our beloved ‘lost treasures’ by revamping highly requested past routines which were given a modern twist.

This production was nominated for 4 CAT Awards:

  • Best Dance Production
  • Best Dance Performance By An Individual Or Ensemble- ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’
  • Best Dance Performance By An Individual Or Ensemble- ‘Machinery’
  • Best Dance Performance By An Individual Or Ensemble- ‘The Tree’
