Soft flowing movements set to classical or piano music. The best base technical style of dance to start with.

The RAD has been a world leader in dance for almost a century, and on 31 December 2020 officially turned 100.

There are age requirements for RAD exams, class awards, solo performance awards and presentation classes.

An RAD Registered teacher will identify when a candidate is ready to take an exam.

The minimum age must have been reached by a specified date before each exam session. There are no exceptions to this rule. For Pre Schoolers see Ready Set Dance.

Michelle Heine is a qualified RAD Teacher and was a member of ACT Royal Academy of Dance Board for almost 20 Years, before retiring.
